发明简介
本新型热导水凝胶中的非离子表面活性剂,具有热感应自组装的特性,能使水凝胶薄膜于外界温度达到预设的切换温度时变得不透明,在温度下降时,又能变为完全透明。新材料用于智能窗系统,可使智能窗在夏季透明度降低,阻止猛烈阳光照射到室内,在冬季变为完全透明,让阳光进入。

市场前景
一般热感智能窗材料大多含潜在有毒物质,而且制造成本高。与传统材料相比,本新型热导水凝胶采用的物质无毒,同时解决了传统材料的分子聚集问题,具有生产成本较低、较易加工成型的优势。此外,新材料的切换温度可按不同的阻光需求而设定,使智能窗能精确地于特定环境温度下,在透明与不透明的状态之间进行可逆切换。  
触发热导水凝胶透明状态切换的特定环境温度,可以是因日光转变而自然改变的室温,也可以是透过电流改变而设定的温度。采用本新型热导水凝胶的智能窗系统用途广泛,相关应用包括:
• 家居或摩天大厦的智能窗、智能屋顶
• 温室种植

Name: Thermochromic Smart Window
Thermally-Induced Hydrogel and Its Applications

Invention
The smart window system utilizes the novel material of thermally-induced hydrogel. The hydrogel can be thermally activated and become opaque which can block radiation such as sunlight when the temperature increases. The smart materials can reversibly change back to transparent at lower temperature. The opaque-transparent transition temperature of the smart window system can be accurately tuned by changing the compositions of the hydrogel in order to facilitate light-blockage at various environmental conditions.

Marketing Opportunity
Smart window systems can sense and respond to external stimuli such as light, heat or electricity.  The current systems have the ability to control light transmittance through the glass which enable the reversible control of indoor light and temperature. The applications include anything related to flexible switch of glass transparency, such as:
• Smart windows and smart roofs, including household or skyscraper window
• Greenhouse culture
